Scoala Gimnazială Aron Densusianu Hateg

Scoala Gimnaziala „Aron Densusianu” is a primary and secondary school in Hateg, a small town ( with 10.000 inhabitants) in a region famous for its touristic attractions (beautiful landscape and a great historical significance).
Our town is situated in a legendary region where dwarf dinosaurs used to live millions of years ago. The beauty of the mountains in the National Park Retezat near Hateg represented a source of inspiration for the people who created a variety of legends. Our school, with pupils aged 6-14, welcomes all children regardless of race, religion, sex or social and occupational group. The aims of the European projects are to develop our students’ employment skills, which will be very useful in their future as European citizens, to open our school to the world and thus to improve the students’ general knowledge.
Our school is not so big, but we have a better understanding of pupils in other lands and their cultures. We do this through work that is integrated into our curriculum, and it is usual to contact or engage in joint international activities.
The principal is Rodica Badea and viceprincipal is Anca Nadasan.

Grandaskóli
Reykjavík

Grandaskóli homepage
Grandaskoli Reykjavik began in 1986. The school stands on the seafront in the western part of Reykjavik. Initially, it was assumed that the school would only be a younger children's school for students in grades 1-4. In the first school year, students were 180 in grades 1-3. Soon, the school's parenting team, in conjunction with administrators, began pushing for students to be in the Grand 7th grade for the first 7 years and then go directly to the Hagaskóli secondary school. As the population of the neighborhood grew rapidly, the city authorities took that direction. Then began a continuous building story that lasted until the fall of 1997 when the school's accommodation was in its current form. 5 interconnected halls with 15 general classrooms, 6 specialty classrooms, study rooms, special education facilities, a school library and a multi-purpose hall. Part of the student's sports instruction takes place in the nearby Sports Hall KR. The school now has 7 groups with 6-12 year olds. The number of students in the school year 2019 - 2020 is 359, with most of the students being 496 during the winter of 1997 - 1998, when the school was double-occupied. The school now employs 37 teachers and 15 other staff.
The leisure center of Wonderland that ÍTR operates after the end of the school day has facilities in part of the school premises

Istituto Comprensivo
A.Leonori

ROMA

Istituto Comprensivo "A.Leonori"
is located in the outskirts of Rome. It comprises 3 sections: a kindergarten (3-5 ages), a primary (6-10) and a 1st grade secondary school (11-13) In total: 1200 students The social context is varied. There are pupils with a good standard of living, but also pupils
with learning and behavioral problems. There are immigrants, mostly from Eastern EU Countries and from Asia. We organize many activities to help children integrating in the Italian and EU society. We are involved in a program for disabled or disadvantaged pupils, in danger of social exclusion,
sponsored by the Municipality of Rome.  We also have a special curriculum for music: piano, flute,
violin and guitar. There is an orchestra an and  all classes have interactive boards. There are computer labs, a pottery lab and a science lab. The students learn English, French or Spanish We have participated in Comenius and Erasmus KA2 projects with mobilities of students and
teachers that gave us the chance to develop many teaching and learning approaches We decided that this project about Volunteering and Active citizenship, is a great challenge for our teachers and pupils, who are willing to work hard for 2 years. Furthermore, they will generate writing and
communication skills across the curriculum, express thoughts, ideas and experiences through written
and oral language, embed ICT in everyday routine, use internet-based applications to document, layout, design and publish pupils' products and to draw inspiration and motivation to include volunteering in the learning process. Stand by ME will make a cultural bridge between 6 countries,
offering pupils and staff the chance to broaden their point of view One of the goals of our school, is to sensitize students to the needs of others. To do this, we give great importance to the idea of volunteering . Our pupils take part in the program “ Studio Assistito" (part of AIRONE PROJECT
VOLUNTEERING) that is “help me, my friend with my homework”, so older students help the younger ones to do their homework Our school works on a National project called "Coloriamo il
nostro Futuro" (Colour our Future) that involves more than 30 schools from all over Italy It is about Citizenship (with the election of " minimayor" among the pupils),Environment, Culture. In this sense, multiculturalism values the peaceful coexistence and mutual respect between different cultures
inhabiting the same planet. We have 3 projects still active on eTwinning connected to: -Integration and disadvantage -Territorial Center of disability support - CTS -Specific Learning Disorders - Special Educational Needs -Interculture Commission (for the inclusion of foreigner students with a volunteer service offered by our school with literacy teaching classes) The teachers involved in the project will be : History, Italian, English, Geography, Art, Music, ICT, P Education.
